A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held Tuesday, December 6 at the new Hoover Tactical Firearms in the old Bruno's location at 1561 Montgomery Highway in Hoover, featuring over 52,000 square feet of display space and shooting ranges. Shown cutting the ribbon is President and former Hoover Police Officer Peyton Zarzour, as his daughter-in-law Amy Zarzour holds the bow. Shown to the left of Peyton is his wife Ann. To the right of Amy is Hoover City Council Member Gene Smith, with his wife Pam (between them), Alabama State Representative Paul DeMarco behind them, Hoover Mayor Gary Ivey, and Hoover City Council members Jack Wright and Brian Skelton. They are joined by dozens of other friends, family, and Hoover Chamber members and ambassadors. Hoover Tactical Firearms is open seven days per week, and offers the largest indoor firing range in the southeast.
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held Thursday, December 8 at the new Hoover Location of Lemak Sports Medicine at 2949 John Hawkins Parkway in Hoover, welcoming Dr. Amanda Martin, D.O. She is shown cutting the ribbon, along with Dr. Lawrence Lemak, and Hoover Mayor Gary Ivey at her side. To the right of Dr. Lemak is his wife, Georgine, their son, Matthew Lemak, Chief Executive Officer of Lemak Sports Medicine, and his wife Kathryn. They are joined by Hoover City Council Members John Greene, Gene Smith, Brian Skelton, and Alabama State Representative Paul DeMarco, along with dozens of other staff and family members, as well as chamber members and chamber ambassadors. A Ribbon Cutting was held December 13, 2011 at the new New Balance store in Inverness at 4618 Highway 280, next to Chick-fil-A. Shown cutting the ribbon is store owner Wesley McCluney, as manager Patrick Connor holds the bow. They are joined by several chamber ambassadors, while the rest of the employees were busy helping customer inside. Wesley said sales are SO good, they are expecting this to be one of the top 10 stores in the USA. Later on December 15, the date of the December Chamber Luncheon, the new Holiday Inn-Hoover at 2901 John Hawkins Parkway in Hoover held its Ribbon Cutting and Open House. Cutting the ribbon is Neil Thakor as he is surrounded by dozens of staff members, friends and family, guests, and Chamber Ambassadors. They offered a generous spread of incredible appetizers to those that attended as well. This is one of the nicest hotels along the Highway 150/John Hawkins Parkway corridors.
